The original 21POLY protects many valuable waterfront structures, including the pier at the Statue of Liberty and famous commercial wharfs in San Francisco.   The features and benefits of this exciting product were used as a platform to create a replacement called 21POLYplus that offers on-site application.

21POLYplus has been proven to encapsulate CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate), a harmful chemical preservative that is used to preserve marine lumber.   Left unchecked, CCA will leach from wooden piers into the shallow estuary systems where they are installed.   Unfortunately, shallow estuary areas are extremely sensitive areas.   These areas are where our families play and  where marine life begins.   Tests performed by Rutgers University confirmed that heavy metal content found in shellfish populations along the coast were directly tied to CCA leachate.   For years now, 21POLY and 21POLYplus have been viewed by experts to be the only real solution to total CCA encapsulation.
